Get Ready Kirstie Allsopp! There’s a stampede coming your way!
This week Lauren’s Cows will be returning to Hampton Court Palace for one of our favourite events in the calendar, Kirstie Allsopp’s Handmade Fair. 15th-17th September
We are regulars at the Handmade Fair having exhibited every year of it’s existence! This will be the fairs 4th year and we are very much excited to be reunited with our lovely followers in the South. If you’re not familiar with the Handmade Fair then let me shed a little light…
Kirstie Allsopp is a very well known lady in the UK. She is best known for her work as a Property Guru but more recently she brought the world of hand crafting to british television with her programmes such as ‘Kirtsie’s Handmade Christmas’ and ‘How to fill your House for Free’, encouraging the population to get creative have some fun making things by hand.
It was the success of these programmes that inspired The Handmade Fair. A place for hand crafters to exhibit their wonderfully unique items and for those wanting to create to be inspired!
I think that’s what appeals so much to us about the show, you really appreciate the love and attention that has gone into every item being exhibited
Jude and myself have always been crafty people. Obviously my skill lies in painting and drawing. I would rate myself as an intermediate crafter! I’m a dab hand with a glue stick and am incredibly proud of the fact that I sewed my curtains! Jude on the other hand is a whizz on the sewing machine! She’s a pro at making everything, from my prom dress, to beautiful cloth dolls. She even made her own wedding dress! That’s why it’s great to have so many like minded people in one place! It’s not only a fanatastic shopping event but you can also take part in crafting workshops and demonstrations!
We really recommend it as a day out. It is a little pricey but it’s nice to treat yourself once in a while! Plus we won’t be doing another show in the South before Christmas so if you’re wanting some Cows for the home, nows the time to come find us!
