Meet Mabel the tiny jersey calf. Only 4 weeks old this little lady is just the sweetest little thing. With her beautiful big eyes that just sparkle and that cheeky little tongue she makes me smile everytime I see her. So much so that she sits on my easel!
Jersey Cattle come in many varieties but Mabel's sleek golden coat is my favourite. It's always a challenge when painting a block coloured smooth coloured animal, but the subtle pink and purple brushstrokes really bring her to life.
I hope Mabel makes you smile as much as she does me, I'm very excited to see who she makes her home with!
