Alfie used to be the cutest kid on the block, however this fluffy teddy bear is simply irresistible. Meet Ted, my youngest calf to date, he’s taken the Lauren’s Cows herd by storm as a certain crowd pleaser! I met Ted on a hot day at the Yorkshire Show. It was late in the day and the other Highlands were hot and bothered and not interested in having their pictures taken, but little Ted was absolutely engrossed in what I was doing. I managed to get a handful of good photos before his mum slowly rose to her feet and came to stand directly in front of him blocking him from my camera. She gave me the tiniest of sideways glances as if to say 'OK you've had your fun, now off you go!' So I said my farewells. However he was still watching me as I carried on my rounds through the cattle lines.
The ladies love him and even the toughest of fellas give the tiniest of smiles when they see his little face. Wonderful in a spring triptych with Juliet, and Minnie.
