Friendly Holstein Freda pops by to say 'hello'!
Freda is one of the many beautiful ladies of The Home Farmer a family run dairy cattle farm situated in the stunning Yorkshire Dales.
As a rule of thumb, I like to paint my cows from photographs that I take. This way I can really get to enjoy the personality of the animal. However sometimes I have to make an exception! This photograph was kindly donated to me by The Spence Family after I saw the snap shot on their Instagram. It made my day and I knew it would make a fantastic painting. Luckily for me The Home Farmer team were as eager to see Freda painted as much as I was to paint her.
