The Belted Galloway is a favourite among cow lovers. This beautiful banded galloway breed with it’s luscious black curls and iconic white belt is one of a kind.

Bonnie is a very special lady. The original painting was actually commissioned by a gentleman as a gift for his wife. He visited me at my studio in York and was trying to decided between two Belted Galloway art prints. He told me how his wife had a met a Belty on a hike and showed me the photo she’d snapped of their fortunate encounter. He was just trying to decide which of my existing banded Galloways looked most like her photo. I said ‘hey, why don’t I just paint that one!’ and here she is! This piece was a pleasure to paint.
